How to resend device configuration and data?
If the device did not apply the expected settings, access rules, identifiers, or forwarding configuration, BAS-IP Link provides several ways to resend data from the server:
❶ Synchronize device data
Go to Device management → Devices, find your device and click the Synchronize device data button on the right side of the device row.
This action re-sends the current device configuration and access-related data stored on the server.
This feature is useful after:
replacing a device;
restoring factory settings;
recovering missing configuration;
troubleshooting incomplete synchronization;
restoring access data after device replacement or repair.
Depending on the device type, synchronization may include:
SIP settings, network settings, and forwarding configuration;
logical address and apartment data;
face recognition settings;
users and access rules;
apartment and forwarding rules;
identifiers and schedules;
reader and relay information for CE-44 series controllers;
elevator settings and floor mapping.
Elevator controllers may additionally receive floor mapping and controller configuration during synchronization.
❷ Reinit device
Use Reinit device after a factory reset or when the device is completely out of sync with the server.
This action performs full device reinitialization and recreates the required synchronization tasks for the selected device.
Reinitialization may take longer than standard synchronization because the server rebuilds the full device configuration state.
Reinit is recommended when:
the device was reset to factory settings;
the device was replaced;
synchronization repeatedly fails;
device configuration became inconsistent.
🔁 Restart device queue
Go to Device management → Devices and click the Restart device queue button to retry failed synchronization tasks.
This action:
retries tasks with the Error status;
preserves the existing synchronization queue;
does not recreate device configuration;
does not trigger full synchronization.
Use this option for temporary synchronization issues or after restoring device connectivity.
If multiple tasks failed for the same device, restart the earliest failed task first.
Good to know:
The device must be online to receive synchronization tasks, which are processed sequentially for each device;
BAS-IP Link automatically retries failed synchronization tasks if the device is temporarily unavailable, so synchronization may take longer during temporary network interruptions;
Monitor synchronization progress in the Queue tasks tab;
Check the Identifiers tab in Access management to verify that access data was applied successfully;
Prefer Reinit device after a factory reset or major device replacement.
