Two-Step Mode is a new functionality of EVRC-IP designed to enhance the security and convenience of elevator usage. It enables automatic elevator calls to a designated floor and manages access to other floors based on identifiers. This mode allows precise control over movement within the building, making the system more flexible and reliable.

Key Features of the Two-Step Mode

Automatic Elevator Call
When a user interacts with the system (e.g., unlocking a door via the panel or Link app), the elevator is automatically called to a designated floor where the panel or access point is located.
Floor Access Restriction
Inside the elevator cabin, only the buttons for authorized floors are activated based on the user's identifier (card, code, UKEY). This prevents unauthorized access to restricted floors.
Flexible Configuration
Administrators can set individual access parameters for residents, guests, and other user groups, including time-based restrictions or limits on the number of accesses.

Configuration Steps

Step 1. Configuring the Panel and Elevator Controller

At this stage, the panel must already be installed at the main entrance to the building or the area associated with elevator access, and the EVRC-IP controller must be connected to the elevator. Next, the panel and controller need to be linked within the local network. To do this, follow these steps:

Panel

Go to the panel configuration page.
Open the Panel section.
In the Apartment Settings window, check if the location of your panel is correctly specified. If the location is incorrect, make the necessary changes.
Click Submit to apply the changes.

Controller

Go to the EVRC-IP controller configuration page.
Open the Device section.
In the Apartment Settings window, check if the controller's location is correctly specified and ensure it matches the panel's settings. If the location is incorrect, make the necessary changes.
Click Submit to apply the changes.

In the Device settings window, select the Access control manual mode.

The two-step mode works only when this setting is applied.

Configure all necessary parameters in the Device settings window according to your system requirements.
Click Submit to save the changes.

Go to the Floors and Ports Settings window.
Click ADD to add a new floor.

In the newly opened window, specify the floor name in the Name field.
If the floor is public (e.g., Ground Floor), check the Public checkbox. If a panel is installed on the floor, check the Panel installation floor checkbox.

You cannot activate both checkboxes simultaneously for the same floor. A floor with a panel cannot be public.

Specify the floor number in the Floor field. Each floor must have a unique number.
In the Ports field, select the port (relay) associated with this floor. This field is mandatory.

A single port can only be linked to one floor. Using the same port for multiple floors is not allowed.

In the Apartments field, add the apartment numbers linked to this floor. If the floor is public or has a panel, leave this field empty.
Click CONFIRM to save the floor.

Repeat the same process for other floors, adding them using the same principles.
Click Submit to save the changes.

Go to the panel settings located on the floor associated with the elevator's operation.
Open the Access management section.
Scroll down to find the Additional settings window.

In the Floor number (Elevator controller) dropdown, select the floor where the elevator controller is located.

Send identifier data
Activates the transmission of identifier data (e.g., card, code, UKEY) to the elevator controller. This is necessary to grant access to permitted floors based on the identifier settings.
Getting apartment identifier from call
Allows the panel to determine the apartment identifier associated with the ongoing call. This is used to automatically grant elevator access to the floor linked to that apartment.
Send the elevator to the specified floor when using the identifier
The elevator is automatically called to the specified floor when the identifier is used (e.g., tapping a card or entering a code).
Send the elevator to the specified floor when the lock is opened from the monitor
The elevator is called to the panel's floor if the lock is opened via a monitor (e.g., using the Link app or a stationary monitor).
Calling an elevator using a DTMF code
Enables elevator control using a DTMF code sent through a phone line or audio system.
- DTMF value: Specifies the code value (in this case, "DC") used to call the elevator.
Monitor secure mode
Activates a secure mode for the monitor, restricting user actions (e.g., preventing accidental calls or unauthorized access). This is used for additional system protection.

Click Submit to save and apply the settings.

Step 3. Adding Identifiers

To ensure the correct operation of the two-step mode, identical identifiers must be added to both the panel and the elevator controller.

Panel

Go to the panel settings.
Open the Access management section.
Navigate to the Identifiers subsection.
Click New identifier.

In the newly opened window, fill in the following fields:
- Apartment number: Specify the apartment number, if applicable.
- Name: Enter the name of the identifier (e.g., "Owner's card").
- Identifier affiliation: Select the owner of the identifier (e.g., Owner or Guest).
- Identifier type: Choose the type of identifier (e.g., Card, Access code, UKEY).
- Identifier number: Enter a unique identifier number.
If necessary, configure restrictions:
- Activate Period restriction to limit the identifier's validity period.
- Activate Passes restriction to set a limit on the number of accesses.
Specify the lock in the Lock # field.
To set time restrictions, go to the TIME PROFILES tab and configure the required parameters.

Click CONFIRM to save the identifier.

Controller

Go to the EVRC-IP controller settings.
Open the Access management section.
In the Identifiers subsection, click New identifier.

In the newly opened window, fill in the following fields:
- Number: Enter a unique identifier number (e.g., card or code number).
- Type: Select the type of identifier (e.g., Card, UKEY, Access code).
- Owner name: Enter the name of the identifier's owner.
- Owner type: Specify the role of the owner (e.g., Owner or Guest).
- Floors: Select the accessible floors from the list.
- Apartments: Specify the associated apartments, if necessary.
Click CONFIRM to save the identifier.

Logs Overview: Verifying Identifier Usage

After adding and using the identifier, the system records the corresponding information in the logs of the panel and controller. This ensures that the identifier is successfully registered and functioning correctly.

Panel Logs

When the identifier is used, for example, when a card is tapped on the panel, the panel log records the following:

The date and time of the identifier's usage.
The identifier's category.
The priority of the action (Low, Medium, High).
Additional details in the Info column.

Controller EVRC-IP Logs

After the identifier data is transmitted from the panel to the elevator controller, the controller log records the access granted to a floor.

The date and time of the event.
The event category.
The priority level of the event.
A description of the event.
Additional information.

Summary

The panel logs the use of the identifier and actions related to the lock.
The controller logs the access granted to specific floors.

These records help the administrator verify the correct operation of the system and easily locate data when diagnostics are needed.
