An example of creation of intercom network and setting the system for a private house
This example describes how to connect call panels and indoor monitors in a private house and an example of their settings.
For example, AV-01BD calling panels and AQ-07 and AK-10 internal monitors will be used.
The scheme of building a local network will be as follows:
To build a network, you need to use switches 2 or 3 levels on the floors and a third level router with support for DHCP, ICMP, QoS and VLAN for proper operation and the possibility of dividing the network into logical segments such as VLAN of intercom system, VLAN IP cameras and VLAN of the rest of the network. When selecting a network topology, it is also recommended to use a mixed topology for greater system resiliency.
To power devices, you can use switches with PoE 802.3af support.
When laying cable products it is recommended to use twisted pair cable not lower than CAT5e.
Network bandwidth should be at the rate of not less than 5 Mb/s per device.
Device configuration is recommended to start with internal monitors.
Recommended settings for the logical address are building 1, unit 1, floor 1, apartment 1. On the internal monitors, in the Device number line, you must number the monitors starting at 0. You must also enter the same synchronization code on all monitors, for example, 123456. This is necessary to synchronize the monitors between themselves and the possibility of an intercom between them.
In the DTMF settings, you can also enable the button of the second lock because the AV-07B panel has two relays and this is necessary if you connect, for example, a wicket and a gate for control.
On all monitors, you must enter the network settings according to your network. For example:
IP address: 192.168.1.100 - 103
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
The main gateway: 192.168.1.1
DNS: 192.168.1.1
After setup of internal monitors is completed, proceed to set up an outdoor panel.
Access the web interface and go to Panel section.
Here you need to set the same values of the building, unit, floor, and apartment as on the internal monitors, building 1, unit 1, floor 1, apartment 1. Device number 1 if there is one panel. If several - numbering starts from 1 to 9. Panel mode must be set as Personal.
This is necessary so that this call panel can be viewed from monitors, from the monitoring menu and to have the ability to call to internal monitors.
Next, you need to set the panel network settings according to the settings of your local network, for example:
IP Address: 192.168.1.78
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
The main gateway: 192.168.1.1
DNS: 192.168.1.1
This can be done on the Network section.
