An example of creation the interom network and setting up the system for residential complex
This example describes the connection scheme of the outdoor panels and internal monitors in a residential complex of three houses and an example of their settings.
For example, the AA-12B callout panel and the AQ-07L internal monitors will be used.
On the example of building a network of intercoms for an apartment building, it is possible to build a local area network that unites several houses in one residential complex.
The scheme of building a local network will be as follows:
The main differences in building such a network are:
The need to configure the passage of traffic on the multicast on each switch. Without this, the intercom will not work.
The need to separate network elements between houses, for example, so that residents of a house 1 can only view IP cameras installed in their home. This is done by creating a virtual local area network or VLAN's. An example of dividing network segments into VLANs is available here.
In the given example, VLANs are used in a network with 24 masks, respectively, on each device that belongs to this VLAN.
There are panels in the network that are located on the perimeter of the residential complex and their configuration differs from the settings of the panels that are located at the entrance to the houses.
The network is likely to contain IP cameras, which each internal monitor should have access to, for example, for cameras on the perimeter of a residential complex.
An example of setting up the call panel, which is installed on the perimeter of the complex, is presented below.
In the perimeter panel mode, in order to make a call to an internal monitor, you need to know the building number, the unit number, the floor number, and the apartment number. For example, to call 256 apartment, which is located on the building 3, you must enter 3010256, where 3 is the house number, 01 is the Unit number, 256 is the apartment number.
