Features of the system for communication between devices with a mixed type of communication
The BAS-IP intercom system can operate in a mixed mode, for example, a call between the call panels and monitors is performed using an internal protocol and at the same time parallel forwarding is performed via the SIP protocol according to the rules specified in the settings of the call panels or monitors.
Using this type of connection offers several advantages over using one type:
Users of the system can use mobile devices to communicate with the call panels even being outside the local network, having access to the Internet
Thanks to this type of communication, it is possible to organize various flexible scenarios for dialing devices using either an internal protocol or SIP or P2P SIP.
When using a mixed type of connection, even if there is no access to the Internet, the intercom system will continue to work within the local network via Multicast or P2P SIP
The possibility of making a call to the cell phones of residents when a phone number is connected to the SIP server in SIP format
The disadvantages of this type of communication may be:
The difficulty in setting up the system
The need to keep a complete record of all configured forwarding directions and device settings.
When setting up communication between call panels and internal monitors via P2P SIP, parallel call forwarding via SIP will not work.
Examples of call forwarding are described below:
An example of call forwarding by means of an internal monitor:
Forwarding by means of the outdoor panel is available from this link.
