Integration with ButterflyMX

Integration with ButterflyMX

ButterflyMX panels can be used with BAS-IP indoor monitors to receive incoming calls from ButterflyMX devices. The integration allows clients to handle calls on BAS-IP monitors while maintaining their ButterflyMX panel infrastructure.

In this integration, a set of SIP numbers is generated on the BAS-IP SBIC server and provided to ButterflyMX. ButterflyMX then uses these numbers to establish a connection and forward calls to BAS-IP monitors. Once configured, users can answer calls from ButterflyMX panels directly on their BAS-IP indoor monitors.

To use this integration, you need the following:

  • A BAS-IP indoor monitor that supports SIP calling;

  • An active ButterflyMX panel installed and configured;

  • Contact the BAS-IP Support Team to request the required number of SIP numbers for your project;

  • A set of SIP credentials (numbers and passwords) generated by BAS-IP and provided to ButterflyMX.

How to request SIP numbers

  1. Contact BAS-IP Support and specify that you want to enable the ButterflyMX integration.

  2. Indicate the number of SIP numbers you require for your project.

The number of SIP accounts you need depends on the number of ButterflyMX panels and the usage scenario.

  1. BAS-IP will generate the SIP credentials (numbers and passwords) and provide them to you.

  2. The credentials are forwarded to ButterflyMX, which configures them on their side.

  3. Once configured, you can use BAS-IP indoor monitors to receive calls from ButterflyMX panels.

Without requesting SIP numbers, the integration cannot be activated.

If you need additional SIP numbers later, you’ll need to submit another request to BAS-IP Technical Support.
