Where do I configure SIP trunks and what data do I need to enter?
🔹 Start with project setup
To work with SIP trunks in Link Cloud, make sure the basics are in place:
set up your group structure: building → units → floors → apartments;
activate the Plus license;
add users and assign group phone numbers;
make sure the outgoing number in Twilio is configured and ready.
🔹 Get ready before adding a trunk
Before you start configuring SIP trunks in Link, make sure everything is set up on the provider side — Twilio.
You’ll need to collect 4 key values:
Termination URI — from your Elastic SIP Trunk;
Outgoing number — the phone number you purchased;
Login — your SIP credential username;
Password — your SIP credential password.
To get these values, complete the following steps in Twilio:
buy a phone number with voice support according to Twilio pricing;
create an Elastic SIP Trunk;
add the required IP addresses from the Link documentation;
create login and password credentials;
attach the phone number to the trunk.
🔹 Finish setup in Link Cloud
Once the values are ready, go to Telephony settings → SIP Trunks tab in the web interface and click the ➕ icon.
Fill in the following fields:
Name — a label for internal reference (e.g. Twilio – Building A);
Termination URI — copied from your SIP provider;
Outgoing number — the number assigned to the trunk;
Login / Password — from your Twilio credentials;
Groups — select the group(s) that will use this trunk.
One trunk per group. If no trunk is set for a subgroup, the system uses the trunk from the nearest parent group.
