In this tab, you can update reader firmware, save configurations (templates) and restore settings from saved templates. 

How to update card reader firmware using BAS-IP UKEY Config?

  1. First of all, you need to download the app BAS-IP UKEY Config from Google Play or App Store.
  2. For correct Ukey Config work, you must allow access to your location and turn on the Bluetooth function on your phone. When opening the app, the system will ask you to do it.
  3. To update the card reader you need to download the firmware from the page.

    If you are an IOS user:If you are an Android user:

    1. After pressing the link above, press Open in and choose Save to Files for downloading


    2. Find the downloaded firmware in the corresponding folder and unzip it by pressing the file. As a result, you will receive 2 files: zipped and unzipped. For further use, you need only the unzipped version.

    3. Press the unzipped version. In the new window press the button in the lower-left corner.

    4. Open it via BAS-IP UKEY Config.

    5. You will be automatically redirected to the app BAS-IP UKEY Config.

    1. After pressing the link above, find the zip file of downloaded firmware (usually it is in the Download folder).

    2. Unzip it by pressing the file. You will receive the file with .bin extension.

  4. Open the BAS-IP UKEY Config app.
  5. Press the search button to find the reader. You have to be very close to the reader.
  6. Choose the card reader for connection and confirm it by pressing the corresponding button.
  7. Enter the installer password and press Save. By default, the password is 123456 or 000000.
  8. Press More in the lower right corner of the main settings screen.
  9. We recommend saving current settings. If some troubles occur while updating, you can restore saved settings.  
  10. Press Upgrade (if you are an IOS user) or Upgrade on the main screen of the app (if you are an Android user).
  11. Select the unzipped firmware file (or with .bin extension) from the list or folder and press Upgrade.
  12. In a few minutes, you will hear the loading sound of the card reader. It means that the update will be successfully done.

Configurations saving and restoring 


To save current reader settings press the corresponding button. The file with settings will be automatically saved to your phone. 

You can restore saved settings by opening the restore tab and selecting the file you want to restore.
