With the help of forwarding you can redirect calls from one device to another. Here you can find a detailed description of the forwarding configuration of calls from an entrance panel to various indoor entry phones or mobile device(s):
How forwarding works
Forwarding from an entrance panel to various indoor entry phones or mobile device(s) is useful when the main monitor is off or the user can not answer the call from one device but can do it from the other. It is possible to add up to 8 directions for forwarding to be sure that the call will be received.
Forwarding can be done via SIP and Peer-to-Peer protocols. Calls via SIP can be redirected to all numbers at once or one by one (to the numbers in turn with a 20 seconds delay).
Peer-to-Peer calls are used when one-by-one calls between an entrance panel and monitors are necessary, as it is impossible to do using the standard internal protocol calls based on building, unit, floor, and apartment numbers. You can also use this method to set a call from an individual panel to a concierge monitor.
Preparation before forwarding configuration
1. Set devices logical addresses for a monitor and a panel. If you want calls between devices to be made via SIP and Peer-to-Peer protocols (instead of the internal protocol), and thus the configured forwarding to work, you need to set different logical address values for the panel and the monitor.
During a call, the panel refers to its forwarding queue only when it could not find any monitors according to the values of the building, unit, floor, and apartment. So, the easiest way is to set different logical addresses for the panel and the monitor. The images are an example of the panel (the 1st picture) and the monitor (the 2nd picture) configuration.
2. Download the BAS-IP Intercom app onto your mobile device(s). This app is necessary for making/taking SIP calls via your mobile(s).
3. You must register with the SIP server. This service provides SIP numbers required for making calls between various devices via SIP protocol.
4. Add your device(s) to receive at least 5 virtual numbers.
5. Create SIP numbers for your devices. Each device must have a unique number. So, if you have 1 panel, 1 monitor, and 1 mobile device, it is enough to create 3 SIP numbers. If you have more devices create additional numbers.
6. Enable and configure SIP for the entrance panel.
7. Enable and configure SIP for the monitor. Compete this step for each monitor that will be in the forwarding queue. For each monitor, you must use a new SIP number, they can not be repeated.
8. If you want to receive redirected calls on your mobile, add the SIP number (created in Step 5) to the BAS-IP Intercom app (downloaded in Step 2). Compete this step for each mobile device that will be in the forwarding queue.
All at once forwarding configuration
When you prepare the entrance panel, monitor(s), and mobile device(s), you can set forwarding queue(s).
1. Log in to the entrance panel web interface. By default, the username is admin, the password is 123456.
2. Open the Forward tab.
3. In the Forward settings section select all at once mode. As a result, the call will be redirected simultaneously to the numbers from the queue.
4. In the Forward queues section, click New Forward.
5. Enter the Apartment Number when entering it on the panel this forwarding queue will be activated. Be aware, that the apartment number consists of the floor and room number. For example, 223 indicates apartment 23 located on the 2nd floor. The first zero in the floor number is ignored.
6. Enter up to 8 Forward Numbers (directions for call forwarding). You can click the Add button and enter up to 8 numbers for forwarding. It can be monitors or mobile device(s). Calls can be made via Peer-to-Peer, via the SIP protocol, or can be combined in one queue. The only thing, you must enter numbers in the corresponding format:
5. Save the forward queue by clicking Confirm.
