License plates can be used as identifiers to open the barrier. For this identifier to work, you need an additional IP camera with an ALPR option for plate scanning. BAS-IP Link server is only compatible with Axis, Hikvision, or AxxonOne cameras. Below you will find detailed instructions on configuring each camera to interact with the server and using license plates as IDs.
Hikvision camera configuration
In the Licenses tab, ensure that you have an integration with the Hikvision camera in your license and this option is enabled for the server.
Go to the Devices tab of the Device management section.
Click the plus icon in the left low corner.
Enter the device name.
Select the IP camera type.
Select the Hikvision camera with the ANPR model.
Enter any number for the Serial number field.
Select a group/subgroup where the device is functioning.
Add a description, if necessary.
Enter network settings for server and camera interaction:
enter the camera IP address and port
enter login and password to the camera
Be aware that the camera must be within the same network as the server or available for interaction via the Internet.
In the Additional Settings, select the ID of the alarm output relay on the camera that must be activated when the license plate is recognized.
Also, set a timeout for this relay activity.
Click the Save button in the left low corner when all required data will be entered.
As the camera is added, click it from the list of all devices.
Copy the URL for the incoming events from the IP camera in the corresponding field.
Go to the Advanced settings of the Hikvision camera.
Paste the copied from the Link URL (for the incoming events from the IP camera) into the URL field of camera settings.
Enter the URL of your server in the Destination IP section.
Save settings.
Add license plate identifier as described here.
As a result, camera and server can interact with license plates.
AxxonOne camera configuration
In the Licenses tab, ensure that you integrate with the Axxon One server and its cameras in your license. In addition, this option is enabled for the server.
Go to the General tab > the Integration section.
Click the plus icon in the low left corner to add the integration with the Axxon One server. You can add as many integrations as you need.
Enter the following information for the integration:
integration type: Axxon One
its name
AxxonOne server URL and port
login and password for the server
self-singed encryption certificate
More about Axxon One server configuration and requirements you can find in the Installing the software package or Operating system requirements guides.
Click the Save button in the left low corner when all required data will be entered.
Go to the Devices tab of the Device management section.
Click the plus icon in the left low corner.
Enter the device name.
Select the Barrier type for the Axxon One cameras.

Add a description, if necessary.
Select the integration (created in Step 3,4).
Select the camera from the list of added to the Axxon One server.
Set the checkpoint direction that this camera is used for entry or exit. So that the records of used guest passes are kept correctly. For example, if the barrier is used for exits, the number of passes will not be subtracted.
Select the macro(s) (commands) from the Axxon One system used to open the barrier.
The integration works through the BAS-IP server subscribing to events from macros on the AxxonOne server.
Click the Save button in the left low corner when all required data will be entered.
Add license plate identifier as described here.
As a result, a camera and server can interact with license plates.
