Access restrictions
Access restrictions are an integral part of the Link server that links devices, users, and schedules if required. The main purpose of Access restrictions is to enable users in the BAS-IP Link app to view devices, make calls to them, open doors without initiating a call, and issue guest passes. You can quickly configure giving access or not to these or those devices for concrete users. Access restrictions must be applied to groups with added devices and users.
The access restriction that is applied to a group will automatically be distributed and will be applied to all subgroups and their users.
How to create access restriction
Go to the Access restriction tab of the Access management section.
Click ➕ icon in the lower-right corner.
Enter the access restriction name.
If necessary, enable the option to use this restriction for guest identifiers.
Add description, if required.
Go to the Access Points tab to configure which access points will use this restriction. Here, you select the available access points to apply the restriction.
Go to the Schedules tab to configure the times when this restriction will be active: days of the week or specific hours.
Go to the Users tab to select the users to whom this restriction will apply.
Go to the Identifiers tab to apply the restriction to specific user identifiers.
Go to the Objects tab to apply this restriction to specific groups or their descendants.
Click the 💾 Save button in the lower-left corner after entering all the required data.
Access restrictions filtering
With the help ofandbuttons, you can modify or remove restrictions. Additionally, there is a filter by ID No., Name, Number of devices, Schedules, Object, and Identifier. This allows you to configure flexible data display and perform quick searches.
To use the filter, click the Add filter button and set the necessary parameters. For some searches, results can match exactly what you search for, be less than or greater than your parameter, or contain (i.e., include) the parameter. For example, searching for an ID number less than the one you specify will display numbers before it. You can select multiple parameters and choose whether the results will match all filters or any of them.
Additionally, you can save your search parameters for future use by clicking the Save As button. All saved parameters are displayed after clicking the Segments button.
